11 months

We just moved into our new house the day after Thanksgiving and Brooklyn just turned 11 months old.  Only one more month until my baby turns 1!

This past month she:

Still wakes up once at night.

Breastfeeds on demand.

Claps and makes lots of noises.

Screams loudly!

Had her first Thanksgiving.

Ate turkey, stuffing, rolls, and green beans.

Likes to make messes.

Hates naptime and when mommy can't cuddle.

Likes playing in her toy box and using toys as a chair or stool.

Is so close to walking!

10 months

We forgot our monthly photos this month because I've been so preoccupied with the sell of our house!  But on Halloween we visited (Great) Grandpa and dressed up in her Snow White costume. 

This past month she:

Goes to sleep at 7:30, but has been waking up 2 times a night.

Breasfeeds 10x a day or more!  Plus finger foods.

Can still wear 3-6 month clothes, but starting to wear more 6-9 month.

Bites mommy's face and nose. 

Has a new cry that sounds like "ay ay ay!" 

Loves to open drawers and cabinets.

Hates when mommy's to holding her.

Plays with dishes and recipe cards.

Took a step!

Finally says "dada"

9 months

9 months has flown by!  We've been busy since our house went on the market, but this past month she:

Is 27 3/4 in and 16 lbs 1 oz.

Is going to bed earlier around 7-8 and waking up once around 5 am.

Breastfeeding whenever she wants and eating solids 3x a day.

STILL wears 3-6 month clothes, but starting to wear 6-9 months.

Is screaming, panting, and clicking her tongue.

Likes to copy mommy.

Started clapping her hands.

Gives mommy kisses.

Gets into everything!

Loves to tear up magazines.

Hates getting in the car and getting her diaper changed.

Loves being tickled, boxes, paper, and posing with anything that's NOT a toy. 

Stands up for short periods of time.

Learned how to wave and the sign for "milk" 

Took her first family pictures! 

                                                      

8 months

Time for our monthly update!  This past month she:

Is starting to sleep through the night again.

Started eating finger foods such since she loves to feed herself.

Wears 3-6 month clothes.

Says "mama"

Loves to make kiddy noises.

Jumps/bounces up and down.

Tries to stand on her head.

Likes to try and eat CDs.

Hates naptime.

Loves trying to find mommy and getting into the garbage.

Stands up by herself with a little help.

Talks more every day.

Brooklyn- 7 months

I really thought that when I became a stay at home mom I would be blogging all of the time about baby girl!  Boy was I wrong!  Time just gets away during the day and between taking care of Brooklyn, keeping up the house, and running errands I just find myself wanting to just sit down and not do anything

Just last week Brooklyn turned 7 months old.  I love her little Snow White dress.  It really is too cute.  I just want to go out and buy all of the princess dresses! 

This past month she:

Wakes up to play in the middle of the night! (Sometimes for 2 hrs!)

Breastfeeds every few hours and eats 2-3 veggies per day.

Wears 3-6 month clothes.

Pants like a dog when she gets excited.

Loves to grab faces and slap mommy's hands.

Pulls herself up onto everything.

Likes dog food. Yuck!

Hates avocados and going to bed.

Can't get back down after pulling herself up.

Likes her stacking cups.

Loves when mommy sings "Itsy Bitsy Spider?"

Stands up and crawls!

Climbs the stairs and can make it all the way up!!

 She sure is getting big!  She really is on them move!  She's always been one to get around early!  At 2 months she rolled from belly to back and by 3 months she was rolling from one side of the room to the other.  NONSTOP.  As soon as she learns a new skill she will not stop for a second.  She started scooting at 5 1/2 months and crawling came 2 weeks later right around 6 months.  Then a week later came pulling herself up and standing.  Then came crawling up the stairs.  We sure had to get that gate up fast!  But that still didn't stop her from hanging onto the gate and getting her toes on the 1 inch of step that she could! The next week moving across the furniture.  She really never stops and I know she'll be walking so soon!
